Books on the Traditional Mass
Catholic Mass - Putting God back at the centre of the liturgy.
"The liturgy is made for God, not for ourselves," Cardinal Ratzinger wrote in 2004. this is even more true for the holy sacrifice of the Mass: it is the work of God, and not ours - even if, through the grace of baptism, we are privileged participants in his saving action. Bishop Schneider’s deep respect for the Mass and the Holy Eucharist finds its source in the fact of having suffered its deprivation through persecution. If we imbibe even a little of the faith and love which this book is the fruit of, we will not only understand why it is essential to restore God’s central place in the liturgy, but we will tackle ourselves, without further delay, to this necessary task." - Cardinal Robert Sarah, Prefect Emeritus of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

The Mass of all time :
Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre
During the sacrifice of the Mass "the whole Revelation, the mystery of the faith, the completion of the mysteries of the Incarnation and the Redemption, all the effectiveness of the apostolate", did not hesitate to write Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre in a formula of striking intensity.
The priest, the religious, the missionary, the bishop, the superior, the founder that he was successively did not cease to deepen this great mystery of the bloodless renewal of the sacrifice of the cross which is, in his words, “the heart of theology, pastoral care and the life of the Church”.
The present work methodically resumes all that the prelate could say or write about the Mass, its rites, its prayers, its theology, its spirituality, its spirit, its grace. One follows step by step the ordinary of the traditional mass, then one examines by contrast the new ordo of the mass promulgated in 1969 by Paul VI.
The reader will thus be able to discover or rediscover, with depth and simplicity, the Holy Mass, this hidden treasure, «this most sublime act of Christian prayer».
